I'm truly fed up with the appalling retail standards of the audio book market. It is moderately acceptable on the retail side of things, but as far as the author/narrator backend ease of use and support is concerned, it's frankly appalling in the way only monopoly platforms can achieve.

It's why I've chosen to withdraw all my audiobooks from sale elsewhere, it's going to take time to wind down the presence on Audible and other platforms, but they will firstly be selling my old covers and narrators, and secondly, probably their prices will exceed mine by a fair margin.

True, they have their 'all-you-can-eat'  offers, but that's only good for people who can extract maximum value from their subscription. I would much rather offer you the audiobook at a reasonable price, let you keep the book forever, and still make enough out of the sale to continue publishing.

Over the next few months I'm going to be developing my own audiobook reader so you can not only download my novels, but also podcasts from my library. Eventually, audio will be available across the whole site. Great if you don't have time to read, simply download the latest, and listen to your favourite author on the go.

Let me know in the comments below if you have any views on the audiobook market, or if you can think of other ways I can give you more value from my books and website.
